Act II is a family owned and operated Ladies Resale Boutique, which has been in business for over 40 years.

Over 40 years ago someone in La Mesa was selling a six week old consignment store. I, Dolores Buller, was a stay at home mom for seventeen  years, when I found myself divorced, and in need of  a job. Even though I knew nothing about owning a store, let alone knowing the meaning of consignment,  I took a huge risk and bought the store.  This risk  quickly proved itself to be the perfect fit for my family.

ACT II was born off Lake Murray Blvd in La Mesa CA. Over the years we have had numerous locations all over San Diego area.  But for the last 30 years there have been two locations in the quaint, friendly and charming  Village of La Mesa.

ACT II is run by myself and my daughter Deanne. Also now that my granddaughter, Jessica, is old enough she is starting to learn the business.

ACT II believes in giving back,  through out the years we have been very involved with the community. Both Deanne and I  have served on the board of directors with the East County Chamber of Commerce. Deanne has served as President of the merchants association. Also we have donated time and money to the Salvation Army, as well as  clothes to the less fortunate locally( i.e. The Closet on 54th) and in Mexico.  We are big supporters of the Rescue Task Force, Shriners Hospital, and the San Diego Humane Society.

When ACT II started and for many years after, resale was unheard of, now "Resale" is main stream. We feel fortunate to have been successful for four decades and we hope to continue another for many more years to come.
